Olga Pavlova, Russian prima ballerina, was born in Moscow, Russia.  A graduate of the famed Bolshoi Ballet Academy, Olga Pavlova holds a Master degree in Teaching and Choreography from Moscow Academy of Professional Arts. Ms. Pavlova is the Gold Medal and the 1st Prize winner at the International Ballet Competition in St.-Petersburg.  Even though she is a ballerina, choreographer, and ballet mistress, she is also a founder of Pavlova Dance Works Corporation and the official repetiteur for Mejia Ballet International.  Currently she is an International guest principal dancer, as well as Associate Director of Ballet at The Dallas Conservatory and its performing company, Dallas Youth Ballet.

Olga has danced with Bolshoi Ballet Grigorovich Company, Imperial Russian Ballet, Moscow Classical Ballet, Metropolitan Classical Ballet and Morphoses/The Wheeldon Company. She has toured in over 30 countries with the Bolshoi Ballet Theatre Grigorovich Company, and was mentored by the legendary Maya Plisetskaya to perform in her Celebration Galas at New York’s Radio City Music Hall, and in Russia at the Bolshoi Theater, the Mariinsky Theater, and the Kremlin. Ms. Pavlova has performed as  principal dancer in many International ballet galas and festivals around the world, including a special event for Pierre Cardin at “L’Espace Pierre Cardin” and Palais de Congres in Paris. She was aslo a guest principal ballerina at the iconic Uliana Lopatkina’s special event “Anna Pavlova Gala” performed in Russia and around Europe.

Ms. Pavlova’s repertoire includes choreography by Petipa, Balanchine, Fokine, Wheeldon, Ratmansky, Bournonville, Gorsky, Grigorovich, Vainonen, Goleyzovsky, Vaganova, Lavrovsky, Alonso, Mejia, Toussaint, Perrot, Vasiliev, and Jean Guillaume-Bart. She danced principal roles in over 50 ballets, such as Swan Lake (Odette/Odille), Giselle, Don Quixote (Kitry), La Bayadere (Nikia), Raymonda, Romeo and Juliet (Juliet), and many more (view repertoire).

Featured articles were published in  World Arts Today and Dance Magazine (“The New Pavlova”). She was named DFW Weekly Critics’ Choice Best Ballerina in 2007 for Nikiya (La Bayadere), in 2008 for Juliet (Romeo and Juliet) and Best Duet with Bolshoi Ballet star Alexander Vetrov for the Bonjour Brel in 2006 (choreography by Toussaint). One of the ballet critics wrote “…everything her feet touch turns to gold”. Olga has performed with some of the world’s greatest ballet artists such as Vladimir Malakhov, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Alexei Ratmansky, Farukh Ruzimatov and Alexander Vetrov.

As the founder of Pavlova Dance Works she produced and re-staged “Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto” in Moscow, originally choreographed by Paul Mejia. Ms. Pavlova most recently choreographed her original version of “The Nutcracker” for the Dallas Youth Ballet, and re-staged Paquita for Biloxi City Ballet.
